Dawn at Swayambhunath and Patan
Start at 6:00 AM at Swayambhunath for sunrise views over the valley. Descend and drive to Patan Durbar Square by 8:00 AM. Explore the Krishna Mandir and Patan Museum before the crowds arrive. Breakfast of traditional Newari bara and tea at a local cafe.

Pashupatinath and Boudhanath
Visit Pashupatinath by 10:30 AM to witness the mid-morning rituals on the Bagmati ghats. Walk the grounds and observe the sadhus. At noon, drive to Boudhanath and circumambulate the great stupa. Lunch at a Tibetan restaurant with rooftop stupa views, enjoying thukpa and momos prepared by Tibetan refugees.

Bhaktapur, Kathmandu Durbar Square, and Changu Narayan
Explore Bhaktapur Durbar Square's medieval architecture and taste juju dhau. Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square and the Kumari Ghar. End the day at Changu Narayan, Nepal's oldest Hindu temple, perched on a forested hilltop with the oldest stone inscription in the valley (464 CE), watching the sunset paint the Himalayas gold.
